PRACTICES

  • Practices are mandatory, unless stated otherwise by coach.
  • Cheerleaders must arrive to practice on time and stay until practice concludes. If you are going to be late or leave early your parent must notify coach. Too many tardies or leaving early may result in loss of participation.
  • Cheerleaders need to be wearing cheer shoes and proper clothing. Not bringing/wearing proper clothing will result is sitting out and conditioning consequences the next practice.
  • Hair needs to be all up with hair out of the eyes.
  • Chewing gum or eating during practices is prohibited.
  • No jewelry. If you have a medical alert bracelet, please contact Coach on the ruling for that.
  • No fingernail polish, tattoos, glitter, or writing on body.
  • No headbands, extensions, or feathers.
  • If you are not participating in a stunt or pyramid, you will be required to spot, work on dances, tumbling, new cheers, etc.
  • Make a habit of bringing a notebook and pen to practice. You will need to write down important times and dates.
  • All tutorials, make-up work, or testing should be done before school as to not interfere with the practice schedule. Tardiness will only be excused with a teacher' s note in which the coaches will verify with the teacher.
  • If you have to miss practice for any reason, your parent is required to notify the cheer coach. It can result in conditioning consequences or sitting out a game.
  • You must attend school that day or you cannot attend practice.
  • Missing practices due to illness can still lead to being removed from a routine, a position or stunt, due to not physically being available to practice.
  • Safety is our first priority. No excessive horse-playing. Never stunt without the coach present.
  • Cell phones can only be used before or after practice, unless approved by a coach.
  • Being a cheerleader is a privilege not a right. It is a simply choice of the student to choose to participate or not. If you chose to participate and be a part of the team, it is then your responsibility to live by the rules of the program.
  • You are required to follow any and all state, school, and cheer coach's rules.
  • Proper cheer items at practice will result in conditioning consequences at practice.
